Safavieh makes rugs in every size a room could need.

  • Rugs are rolled or folded for safe transit, so creases and curled edges are to be expected. Lay the rug flat, or reverse-roll and the marks will release within a few days.

  • Because the fibers lie in one direction, the rug appears lighter from one end and darker from the other, with the tone shifting as you move around it. Room lighting and screen settings can also affect how the color reads.

  • A little shedding is normal on a new rug, and it subsides within a few days as the loose fibers work their way out.We suggest vacuuming regularly without a beater bar to help it along.

  • A light scent is normal after a rug has been rolled and wrapped for shipping. Let air circulate through the room and it will fade within a few days.

  • Vacuum regularly in the direction of the pile, not against it, and skip the beater bar. Blot spills rather than rubbing them. Natural fiber rugs should be shaken out to release dirt and debris, avoid wet cleaning.

The SAFAVIEH Lyndhurst 331 collection carries a classic Persian pattern in red & black, the kind of formal layout a dining room was designed around. Each rug is power-loomed from polypropylene at a 3/8" pile, low enough for a chair to move freely and dense enough not to show a traffic path. The fiber resists spills and fading, which is what keeps fine pattern detail from muddying underfoot. Lyndhurst 331 works in a living room, dining room or bedroom, and the runner sizes suit a hallway.
